There are billions of websites but be mindful that more is not always better, think about time constraints and what’s reliable so I always try to keep my resources to a minimum. Here are a few places that help me throughout my nursing career and in general (besides Google):
The Best Student Resources
- Wikipedia: for everything!
- Khan’s Academy: great for hard subjects like math, physiology, and chemistry
- All Nurses: the biggest online community of nurses and students that’s loaded with insight and help
- Quizlet.com: find practice questions
- Pinterest: a quick fix of information
- YouTube: almost too many options but I really liked registered nurse rn
- Your nursing school’s canvas or blackboard website: you can find many links and book references
- The online or CD portion of your textbooks
- A hospital’s website like John Hopkins, Mayo Clinic or just about any major hospital’s or government website

Also check if your school offers any discounts on membership and if the nursing organizations offer any scholarships
A List of Certifications & Credentials
- Nursing World
- Nurse.org
- BLS
- ACLS and others depending on your specialty or nursing program. Some certifications usually have classes on two days,for first time takers. If you already work at a health facility, see if they offer classes there because they’re usually free at most hospitals.
